On July 4, Walker's Legacy, a professional women's collective founded by Natalie Madeira Cofield, president and CEO of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, hosted its first annual Women in Business Brunch in New Orleans, powered by Accelerate with Google.
Event speakers included Joy-Ann Reid, journalist and host of MSNBC's, "The Reid Report"; Lauren Maillian Bias, Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference alumna, entrepreneur and author of The Path Redefined; and Nilka Thomas, manager of global diversity at Google. Makeup artist and entrepreneur Kim Roxie, offered make-up giveaways and makeovers.
