Brother, Jaylen, played cornerback at Florida (2010-2013). Sammy was an elite recruit out of Florida, where he also won the AA state title in the 200 meters and finished second in the 100 meters. In 2011, was just the fourth first-year freshman in NCAA history to garner AP All-America first-team recognition, joining Herschel Walker, Marshall Faulk and Adrian Peterson.
