MoneyGram to Donate Money to Red Cross

More companies are pitching in to help the survivors of Hurricane Sandy. Dallas-based MoneyGram International has committed to donating $1 of every transaction in November sent to the affected area up to $200,000.

But the fund wiring servicer isn’t the only Good Samaritan. Its partners ACE Cash Express and Advanced Cash America will match the donation for each qualifying transaction made to the eastern seaboard.

This is the latest in a wave

of companies offering their support to those affected by the storm. Many banks have given customers a reprieve on their banking fees, and today many have extended the fee holiday so that those affected can access funds without penalty.
