On Monday Oct. 5, Misty Copeland and Yo-Yo Ma performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The duo killed it with an amazing live performance, from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 2. called “Courante.†Yo-Yo Ma turns 60 on Oct 7., and won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Soloist in 1985 for his recorded versions of six famed compositions of Bach.

The Late Show is known for its upbeat radio-hit or pop stars performing, so the pair delivered a fresh change of pace. Immediately as they took the floor, Copeland in a bright red leotard, thousands took to social media to express their thoughts.
