Lauryn Hill Signs New Deal With SONY

Lauryn Hill has found a way to stay in the public eye recently. Now, she is preparing to record again, something people have been waiting for since her first solo project, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.”

Despite her public meltdowns, bizarre behavior at shows, tax problems and threat of eviction, the former Fugees member has scored a recording contract worth $1 million with Sony.

On a recent post on her Tumblr page, she speaks on her

problems and confirms the deal. In the post, she says, “I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music.”
