Black Political Game Changers of 2012

This weekend the controversial HBO film (based on the controversial bestselling book) Game Change premieres. Though the film focuses on the McCain-Pailn campaign, we rounded up a few political game changers of our own who are (or will be!) ones to watch.---Sasha KingPresident Barack ObamaWhat can be said about the President of the United States? He made history as the first black President of the United States in the 2008 election, making him the 44th president. He has accomplished many things in the three years he has been in office, including capturing the elusive Osama Bin Laden. He is striving to maintain his presidency for another four years by campaigning for the 2012 election. more

Michael BlakeMichael Blake was at the forefront of the Obama campaign in 2008. At the age of 25, his earnestness and vigor for the campaign was instrumental in Obama’s win in key states. He was given an office in the White House as the Deputy Associate Director for Intergovernmental Affairs in the Office of Public Liaison. Blake has taken a step back from the White House to take up the reigns in voter outreach for the 2012 campaign, Operation Vote. more
