Black Pastor Requests White Greeters for Services at Church

Pastor Makeda Pennycooke of the Freedom House Church in North Carolina wants to make sure that her church is putting the best foot forward, and for her that means putting the white members at the forefront, according to NewsOne.

In an email to her congregation, Pastor Makeda reminded members how many visitors they receive in the fall and why it was important to help with the diversity for the church.

“We are continuing to work to bring our racial demographic pendulum back to mid-line,” she continued in the email. “So we would like to ask that only white people be on the front doors.”

Members of the Freedom House Church were outraged by the email.
