Network Wars: NBC Bans Ann Curry from Tweeting Sympathy to ABC’s Robin Roberts?

It appears the ratings competition between NBC’s Today show and ABC’s Good Morning America is so perverse that “Today” banned anchor Ann Curry from tweeting a note of sympathy to ABC anchor Robin Roberts, who publicly battled with MDS.

When Curry asked NBC executives if it was OK to tweet Roberts she was told no in fear of her “aiding the enemy,” according to a report by New York Magazine

Curry was pulled from her lead anchor position on Today

a couple of months before the incident, which allegedly put a damper on the trust between her and the network. Good Morning America has consistently beat out the Today show in the morning show rating slot.
