For more than 40 years, Price has been at the forefront of securing capital for minority businesses. As president of the National Association of Investment Companies, a trade association for multicultural-focused private equity firms, she raised millions in capital for black entrepreneurs, including some who emerged on the BE 100S lists of the nation’s largest black-businesses. More than 25 years ago, she co-founded Fairview Capital Partners Inc., which has grown into the second-largest black-owned private equity firm—a fund of funds with $9.6 billion in capital under management. Fairview’s clients include pension plans, foundations, endowments, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
