Terrell is a corporate trailblazer who held leadership roles with three premier technology firms. At NMS Communications (formerly Natural Microsystems Inc.), a pioneer in the delivery of innovative voice, video, and data services for wireless networks, she held concurrent positions as president, Platforms & Services Group and SVP, Worldwide Sales. In her dual role, she restructured and refocused the business to move from an operating loss to profitability as well as year-over-year revenue growth. Prior to joining NMS, she created a global intelligence system to integrate customer, product, and competitor information as president of SunExpress, the aftermarket and online services unit of Sun Microsystems. Her team also pioneered Sun’s e-commerce capabilities. Terrell built her technology foundation at Digital Equipment Corp. where her accomplishments included building a leading-edge, concurrent engineering/manufacturing operation that transformed two unproven technologies into high volume products. She started her path to power at Digital, rising from employee relations to manager of its Boston plant, making her one of the most powerful women in corporate America as early as 1987.
