The A-Team (1983-1987):
The A-Team was on TV from 1983 to 1987, starring Mr. T (Bosco "B.A." Baracus), George Peppard (John "Hannibal" Smith), Dirk Benedict (Templeton "Faceman" Peck) and Dwight Schultz (H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock). This group consisted of ex–United States Army Special Forces personnel who helped civilians in need, while on the run from the Army. They were constantly being chased by the authorities for a crime they didn't commit. This series launched the career of the mohawk-wearing, Mr. T.
It's been confirmed by news media outlets that there is a 'Good Times' movie being filmed. For those who don't know, Good Times was a popular television show that resonated with many blacks at the time it aired in the 70s. Since word got out, Black Enterprise decided to list 5 other television programs that have been made into films.more

The movie that received lukewarm reviews and didn't do so well at the box office was released in June 2010. The cast included Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson and Sharlto Copley. I'm pretty sure there will be no sequel.more
The Honeymooners (1955-1956):
The Honeymooners was based on a recurring 1951–55 sketch that originally aired on the DuMont network's Cavalcade of Stars and then premiered on CBS. Although in syndication, it seems as if there were years worth of shows, though the series only lasted one year (1955-1956). This television series introduced us to future stars, Holly Robinson and Johnny Depp. The show was based on undercover police officers going undercover as high school and college students, solving crimes. The show also starred Steven Williams, Peter DeLuise and Dustin Nguyen as the main characters.more
21 Jump Street (2012):
The movie version of 21 Jump Street deviates off the show by only having 2 officers working undercover in the high school targeted. The film stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as the officers and Ice Cube portraying their captain. As the TV show was more drama, the movie version takes the comedic route.more
Miami Vice (1984-1989):
The series ran for five seasons on NBC from 1984–1989 and starred Don Johnson (Sonny Crockett) and Philip Michael Thomas (Rico Tubbs) as 2 of the most arguably, fashion-minded characters on TV. When the series aired, there were countless fights amongst friends about who was the most stylish of the two. Plus, the backdrop of Miami made many people opt to become detectives in the vein of Crockett and Tubbs.more

The television series, S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons And Tactics), is actually a spinoff of a show named The Rookies. This was the unit that was called in for anything that wasn't handled by regular cops. It starred Steve Forrest, Rod Perry, Robert Urich, Mark Shera and James Coleman. Although it only lasted a year, the theme song became a hit and was often played on the radio.more
