Sound Advice: 5 Celebrity Headphone Lines

SLEEK BY 50 CENT: The result of a partnership between Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Sleek Audio, these headphones are billed as “the new standard for wireless hybrid performance. Using klear technology, Sleek deliver a unique audio experience for listeners both wirelessly or wired. Available later this year for an estimated $350 a pair, Sleek headphones will be the first in a series of audio products to be delivered to the market.more
SOUL BY LUDACRIS: Chris “Ludacris” Bridges also added headgear to his business portfolio with the announcement of deal with Signeo to release SOUL by Ludacris. The line will feature not just one headphone but five variations, including the SL300 noise-cancelling headphones, two on-ear models (SL150 and SL100) and two more sets of earbuds (SE99 and SE48). Available later this year, each pair is touted as allowing consumers to “experience that feeling with each listen.”more
BEATS BY DR. DRE: Credited as spearheading the celebrity headphone market, Andre “Dr. Dre” Young and Monster released his popular Beats By Dr. Dre headphones in 2007. Providing studio-quality sound and noise isolation that allow consumers to stop hearing and actually listen to the minute details of a song. Designed for the true music aficionado in mind, they carry a big price tag but an even bigger bang.more
DIDDY BEATS: Released by Monster, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Diddy Beats in-ear headphones feature ControlTalk Universal Noise Isolation in a compact package. Retailing for $180 a pair, they pack quite an audio punch.more
ROC NATION AVIATOR HEADPHONES: Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter teamed up with Skullcandy to release the Roc Nation Aviator headphones. Crafted with stainless steel, aluminum and poly carbonate, they feature spring hinges, an optics-inspired poly carbonate speaker housing and premium polished surface, creating a lens quality fit and finish.more
