The 17th seeded American Sloane Stephens advanced to Wimbledon’s fourth round for the first time Saturday with a win over Petra Cetkovska of the Czech Republic.
At the Australian Open in January, Stephens achieved her first Grand Slam semifinal, upsetting Serena Williams.
And at the recent French Open, Stephens made it to the fourth round before she was beaten by Maria Sharapova.
Stephens faces 19-year-old Monica Puig of Puerto Rico next.
