Passengers are subjected to searches in areas of the body that many deem intrusive, such as the chest region for women.
During the enhanced pat-down, TSA officers check sensitive areas such as the groin.
Minnesotta Majority, a watchdog group, posted a video on YouTube of a child getting a TSA pat-down. Some parents are worried about their children being searched intrusively, the way adults are searched. more
Some fliers are complaining that TSA officers are overly aggressive during pat-downs and that the searches are no different from sexual assault.
Those who might object to a pat-down for religious reasons are not exempt from a security screening. Their only other option is to go through the enhanced body scanner.
