In April 2009, Obama named Aneesh Chopra as the first U.S. chief technology officer. As the face of the president’s tech policy, Chopra’s job is to ensure the newest technologies and latest advances are employed to make the federal government work better for the American people.more

During the 2008 presidential race, Obama was able to tap into the power of social good, raising a record-setting $55 million—$45 million of which was raised online—in less than 30 days. And, last month, President Obama raised $181 million with a large number of donations coming from the digital world.
