PHOTO GALLERY: Tips To Upgrade Your Style Profile

When choosing a hairstyle what factors should white-collar workers keep in mind?
If you’re bored with your hair what are some things you can do to change it up?Consider highlights and low lights. That is a minimal way to give yourself a little pizzazz without having to change your hair drastically. If it is done properly it mimics natural hair color. Within your own natural hair color there are like three shades. Adding highlights creates dimension in your hair and makes it interesting to look at. Are there any hairstyles that professional women should shy away from?I tell people all the time: A woman's hair is the first thing you hear before she speaks. Her hair will tell you a whole bunch of things about her before she even opens her mouth. It can tell you if she is edgy, professional, conservative, sexy, a diva, or glamorous.I wouldn’t suggest women wear bright colors like reds and platinum blonds when they are working in a professional environment because it [can be distracting]. But at the same time, I feel that women and men should not be judged by how they express themselves physically but by their work ethic and their skill in [their profession]. Grooming Tip No. 1: Use products that are nourishing and provide tons moisture in your hair without weighing it down. Wright recommends SoftSheen-Carson's Roots of Nature line of shampoos, conditioners, and moisturizers, which can be found nationwide at mass-market outlets and beauty supply stores.more
Grooming Tip No. 2: If you have weak edges from heat styling or from pulling your hair back into a tight pony tail, use Vitamin E capsules. Vitamin E is essential for growing your hair and skin. “That is one of my favorite tips,” says Wright. “It really works. I’ve used it on all my clients.” Pop open a capsule and rub a little bit of Vitamin E on your edges or throughout your whole head to keep hair nice and strong.more
Grooming Tip No. 3: Use a paddle brush with massaging bulbs on the ends. You'll see a big difference in your hair growth if you brush your hair gently every day with a brush that will stimulate blood circulation.more
>Grooming Tip No. 4: Try to stay away from heat styling because it is damaging to your hair. Instead, use roller sets. “I call those two-for-ones,” says Wright. “If you get a roller set, it is tight, but as the days pass it starts to loosen up and fall into a whole other hairstyle.”more
Grooming Tip No. 5: If you don’t have time to do it, put your hair in a ponytail. “There is nothing wrong with a cute, sexy, nice, neat ponytail,” says Wright. You can pull a side sweep bang, or put a little bump up top and smooth it back. Just don’t use rubber bands without material, Wright advises. The rubber will pull your hair and break it.more
Grooming Tip No. 6: Natural hair can be just as drying as chemical-treated hair. Keep it moisturized and conditioned and make sure you comb the conditioner through your hair, says Wright.more
