The Black Women Talk Tech conference is back for its 3rd annual conference, and this year it’s jam-packed with great speakers, lots of motivation, and a $100,000 pitch competition.
The first day starts off with a founder’s retreat that highlights mindfulness and relaxation, and as the days continue on, one can expect to hear talks surrounding fundraising, investor relationships, and brand building workshops. The third day will be packed full of inspiration for all attendees to partake in.
For the $100,000 prize, you have to be a black female founder, of course, and you
must run a tech or scalable company. Additionally, all applications are due by February 15, at 11:59 PM EST. The grand prize is being awarded in partnership with the New Voices Fund created by family-run conglomerate Sundial Brands, owner of ESSENCE, SheaMoisture, and Nubian Heritage. The fund is the brainchild of co-founder and CEO Richelieu Dennis, and in the company’s words, is consistent with a
long-standing tradition and business philosophy of “taking care of and investing back in the community.” New voices continues a deep family legacy of community commerce by investing in global communities through the economic empowerment of women of color.
